
We did run into a few issues. Since we're still getting used to All Grain brewing adding in trying to do two batches simultaneously made the brew day a tad more chaotic. We tried to have ourselves organized with checklists for each brew but as every brewer knows there is Always something that can go wrong.
In this case we ran into issues with our batch sparging and not yielding as much wort as we had hoped after a single sparge. So we had to do a second sparge. We believe we know what the issue is and are working on making adjustments to our mash tun.

Another issue we had was with our home made kettle strainer. Apparently it worked TOO WELL. The filtration of the strainer was so fine that it clogged up very quickly with hop particles and eventually collapsed thus keeping our wort from draining into the carboy. We're working on that system as well and should be all ready for our next brew day.
