We looked everywhere and even called a few friends to find a decent 7+ gallon pot that wouldn't cost us an arm and a leg. Most of the pots we found cost just as much if not MORE than if we just bought a Turkey frying kit. After some scheming a bit of mad scientist laughter I decided that we would do just that.
By buying a Turkey Frying Kit, which has the 7+ Gal pot and a propane burner included, we would have the gear we needed to fry a turkey and I would acquire a second burner and a large pot that I may use as a Hot Liqueur Tank in the future (after I put a spigot on it of course. Mwahahahaha)
Having all this gear makes me consider building it all into a bench but that would be until at least next spring.
Anyway my Dad and I decided that we would fry up a test bird to try out the process and if the whole thing was an epic failure we'd resort to cooking our Thanksgiving meal in the oven. Well it wasn't and we didn't.

Holy Hell was that some Damn Good Turkey! Everyone Loved at and cooking the second one gave us plenty of leftovers to send home.
We only had two issues while cooking. Turns out my back patio area is not entirely level. So we grabbed an extra sheet of corian I had laying around to level the burner. The other issue was with the burner itself. The company would made it installed this pesky little timer that shuts off the gas every 15 minutes unless you reset the timer. (We'll be bypassing that before the next Brew Day)

All in all we had an Great Thanksgiving and I can't wait to use the new gear for brewing.
